This position provides remote and on-site technical support and services to our clients and staff, mainly in the area of geospatial functionality, Schneider developed software solutions, e-government or other domain specific processes and procedures. While primarily focused on external clients, this position also supports internal staff. Specific examples include technical support, training, consulting, sales, presentations, and data and project work. This position requires an extremely extroverted attitude and the ability to make the clients feel good about calling and happy with the support they receive.
In this role you will have the ability to build and maintain GIS databases and map documents in an ESRI environment. The ideal candidate should have a conceptual understanding of relational databases, and basic SQL statements. Ability to work with Schneider’s custom tools is required, and previous knowledge of (and experience with) is helpful.
Along with possessing an extroverted attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to assist clients with learning GIS technology is required. This individual must be able to coordinate internally with other geospatial technology groups, as well as, the GIS sales, implementation services, development, support, and production staff.
