Position Description:

Satelytics is seeking a new team member to work in the Toledo, Ohio office to meet increasing demand and support our existing projects, analytics applications, algorithmic development, and customer education. This is a customer facing position that requires prior experience with remote sensing and GIS.


Work with Project Leads to enhance project output and meet the increasing demand for project deliverables
Familiarize oneself with products including but not limited to: hydrocarbon detection, vegetation health, and oil & gas remote sensing
Assist in the design, interpretation, and automation of new algorithms and applications to expand our offering of state-of-the-art analyses.
Work closely with other scientists to meet customer needs through innovation and problem-solving
Communicate complex topics to an array of audiences with varying knowledge of product details
Coordinate on multiple projects at the same time with different project leaders
Identify inefficiencies and contribute to long-term solutions

Bachelor of Science in Geosciences or other relevant discipline
Minimum 1-3 years experience in a RS/GIS role
Preferred candidate will demonstrate excellent customer relation skills
Proficiency in RS/GIS software (QGIS, ENVI, ArcGIS, ER Mapper, PCI Geomatica, IDRISI, Opticks, SocetSet)
Proficient in the ingestion, manipulation, and analysis of complex datasets (hyperspectral, multipsectral, LiDAR, radar/SAR, drone)

Knowledge in scripting languages (Python, R, IDL, JAVA, SQL)
Knowledge in spatial databases (ESRI, PostGIS, SQL Server)
Knowledge in field sampling protocol and equipment (spectroradiometer, handheld GPS, differential GPS, water sampling)
Knowledge in statistical programs (MATLAB, R, MiniTab)
Self-driven, motivated candidate able to prioritize multiple tasks
Occasional Travel required
