Job Type – Full time

Description - This position works closely with project team members to develop Windows desktop applications using C# .NET. The primary responsibility is to design, develop and support front-end and back-end parts of applications, integration with other technologies, and coordinate with the team working on other parts of the infrastructure. Specifically, the position requires skills in Esri mapping using the Esri Runtime SDK, and experience using the Esri ArcGIS Suite.

DVG offers Esri focused software development for the web, desktop, and mobile encompassing Esri APIs and SDKs. We also provide enterprise architecture design and implementation for standalone ArcGIS Enterprise environments within secure datacenters, hybrid datacenters, and scalable cloud environments. DVG also offers GIS data services including GIS desktop data creation/editing, geodatabase design/implementation, GIS processing and ETL services, and GIS "lift and shift" to the cloud.

In addition to GIS focused solutions, DVG offers services such as business process consulting, agile application development, data warehousing, reporting and analytics, UI/UX design, project management and application support. Other areas of expertise include information sharing, predictive policing (data-driven policing), and complex event processing. DVG routinely acts as a system integrator, linking disparate technologies to solve challenging business problems.


• Work closely with other developers and project team.
• Ability to work independently.
• Create front end for Windows desktop applications using C# .NET and Esri Runtime SDK.
• Create web services components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models.
• Understanding and working experience with solid application design principles.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of modern UI/UX design principles.


• A minimum of five years of software development experience.
• Experience in .NET Framework, .NET 3.5-4.5, Asp.Net, and C#. C# .NET MVC and MVVM Patterns.
• Experience designing and building desktop applications using the ArcGIS C# .NET Runtime SDK, specifically using Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) and/or Universal Windows Platform (UWP). Preferred experience using both 10.2.x and 100.x ArcGIS .NET Runtime SDK.
• Experience designing and building application with map interfaces using modern best practices for mapping application design and cartography.
• Experience with Esri Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server 10.5 and above.
• Working knowledge of SQL with experience in ASP.NET and Entity Framework.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful web services, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
• Experience with IIS
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum)
• Understanding and working experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).

Desired Qualifications (preferred, not required)

• Esri Developer Certification(s).
• Microsoft Developer Certifications(s).
• Experience with Esri software including ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Runtime, and their associated APIs or interfaces.
• Microsoft Azure experience and/or certification(s).
• Experience using Elasticsearch API
• Python Experience.

Education - Minimum bachelor’s degree from accredited institution. Preferably in computer science, engineering, GIS, or similar.
