We are seeking a Database Programmer - Innovation - Enterprise GIS Team to join our team! You will be responsible for testing and implementing computer databases.
The Database Programmer in the Macon-Bibb County IT department will be responsible for the analysis, development, maintenance and implementation of database technologies. Under general direction and at times using independent thinking, performs a broad range of applications and Database development duties ranging from desktop, web and mobile applications, systems analysis, to technical coding and troubleshooting. Qualified candidates should have experience with SQL database design, and web development. Experience with GIS systems design, relational database design and management, GIS data modeling and analysis, process automation, GIS web/desktop/mobile application development, business process analysis and asset management is desired.
Administer, test, and implement computer databases
Coordinate changes to computer databases
Implement security measures to safeguard computer databases
Monitor performance space on servers and databases
Respond to database problems and escalations
Provide trend analysis and reporting
Previous experience in database administration or other related fields
Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Deadline and detail-oriented
