Title: GIS Analyst, Senior (#11477)
Location: Wenatchee, WA
The Senior GIS Analyst plays a key role in the technical, end-user and data administration support of GIS technologies, including participation in user requirements definition, high quality map production, system design and application development, user interface development, application integration, GIS data development and conversion, relational database design and implementation, training and documentation. The incumbent is the main point of contact for end user support of GIS applications throughout the District and a key member of the GIS stakeholders group.

1. 30% GIS Technical Support: Technical support of GIS technologies, system design and application development, application integration, GIS data development and conversion, relational database design and implementation. Perform GIS software system installation and upgrades, including some basic Windows Server administration.
2. 20% GIS system end-user support.: Provide customer service and support for GIS end-users so they effectively and accurately operate the system and derive its full benefits. Provide primary or secondary support via phone, email and in-person in a knowledgeable and positive manner. Mentor and train end-users in system operations. Trouble-shoot any aspect of the system including installation, network, and servers. Analyze and fulfill requests for reports and queries from the GIS system.
3. 15% GIS data administration: Support GIS data acquisition and loading into the system. Develop or acquire routines to convert GIS data formats. Oversee GIS land base maintenance when necessary. Troubleshoot data related problems. Provide electronic GIS map data for district contractors as necessary.
4. 10% Training: Schedule and teach customized GIS classes to District personnel.
5. 10% Map productions and plotting: Develop routines to produce standard or ad hoc map products for internal personnel. Analyze and fulfill map products requests from external parties.
6. 5% AutoCAD/GIS integration support. Primary support responsibility for integrating AutoCAD based mapping data with the GIS system.
7. 5% Technical Assistance and Mentoring. Assist and mentor other GIS team members or system owners so that they learn "best practices", avoid reinventing methods and continually build their ability to analyze and improve business processes.
8. 5% Network Administration. Assist IT network administration staff in the administration of GIS applications and the ArcSDE GIS database.

Bachelorís Degree (B. S., B. A.) from a college or university; in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Geography, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A Masterís Degree would be desirable.
Typically requires a minimum of five (5) years using geographic information systems, including a thorough understanding of GIS and cartographic principles, a working knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS Pro, programming, ArcGIS Server, and knowledge of general SQL and database operations. Experience with ArcFM or other utility mapping and network analysis GIS applications preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
