Geonamic Systems, Inc. is seeking candidates to fill a GIS Analyst role in Minot, North Dakota. Geonamic Systems is a leading asset integrity and data management software and service company providing Esri GIS-based solutions to oil & gas pipeline operators throughout the U.S. and globally.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate must be self-motivated and detail oriented, with a strong desire to excel and grow in a fast paced, leading edge software development and consulting environment. Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: GIS data management and mapping; data acquisition, conversion, and manipulation; implementation of Geonamic technology; software testing and documentation; procedure development and documentation; technical support; and coordination with other GIS analysts, developers and project managers for a variety of oil & gas pipeline GIS projects. Work may include extended on-site assignments with Geonamic oil and gas pipeline clients.
Education: BS or MS Degree in geosciences, computer science, engineering, or related field.
Skills: Exemplary interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required. Ability to travel domestically is required, some international travel may also be necessary.
Travel: < 10%
Software Knowledge: One to three years of experience with Esri product line -- ArcGIS 10.x (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, etc…), ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online/Portal. Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle, Python, and/or ArcGIS Server is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of one year GIS related experience. Oil and gas pipeline or equivalent linear referencing experience is highly desired, especially with management of PODS Relational and/or PODS Esri Spatial data models.
