Innovate! Inc., an 8(a) certified federal contractor, is seeking a GIS Analyst to work in the Washington DC Area. The candidate must be self-motivated with exceptional writing, planning, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills who thrives in a team environment.

Job Summary:
Candidate is well-organized and has the ability to work with the Esri ArcGIS Suite on both desktop and server software. Is responsible for working with a core team to support large and small GIS projects. You may be called upon to assist with the design, and maintenance of geospatial analysis, and applications through concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include supporting other personnel in utilizing GIS applications and software as well as interfacing with clients and teaming partners. Candidate must have a “can-do” attitude who can adapt to a fluid work environment and an occasionally demanding schedule. Works with minimal direction on assigned tasks with the expectation tasks are completed independently and on time.

• Provide GIS support in collecting, storing, retrieving, manipulating, analyzing, and displaying geospatial and non-geospatial data.
• Planning, designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining an enterprise Geospatial Information Systems.
• Maintain the geospatial data and attributes.
• Provide analysis of geospatial data, incorporating existing data, and additional data such as, LiDAR or Aerial.
• Update spatial features and attributes to database, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations and engineering drawing standards
• Create and plot associated maps, diagrams, or drawings.
• Compile and draft written documentation, technical responses, and necessary user guides, as well as responses to request for proposals and information.
• Serve as backup to on-site personnel within cleared governmental facilities.
Required Education and Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical or Engineering Sciences, Geography or related field
• 4+ years of experience using the Esri ArcGIS suite of products, specifically ArcGIS Desktop and ArcPro.
• Experience developing and maintaining spatial data and geodatabases.
• Must be a US citizen, as this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued security clearance.
• Must have a sound technical understanding of key GIS technologies and systems.
Preferred but not required Education and Experience:
• Expertise within the DoD specifically with DoD IE&E Geospatial Systems
• QCP implementation, implementing the SDSFIE family of standards
• GISP (Certified GIS Professional) certification
• Experience using GPS equipment and ability to operate under field conditions.
• CADD experience.
