Geocgi is looking for multiple GIS Analysts to support the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) Program with data collection, and standardization. The work will be performed remotely but travel is anticipated to Japan and other USMC installations in the region. The GIS Analysts should have experience editing vector geospatial data in ArcGIS Desktop. The candidates should also be familiar with editing data in multi-user enterprise geodatabases. The candidates will work with on-site Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other geospatial professionals to transform existing data sources such as CAD, BIM, SHP, and spreadsheets into authoritative geospatial information compliant with the USMC’s adaptation of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE). Preference will be given to candidates with SDSFIE, IGI&S, and/or utility data collection experience. To perform the duties of a GIS Analyst successfully, candidates must be:

The following are requirements of the potential candidate:
• US Citizen
• Valid US Drivers License and US Passport
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or related field
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
• Must be willing to travel to Japan and other locations in the Pacific region.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve complex problems
• Understanding of data editing best practices in multi-user enterprise environment
• Experience with SDSFIE and DoD IGI&S programs (Preferred)
• Familiarity with electric, water and other utility networks (Preferred)
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or SQL (Preferred)
• Experience with Esri’s Data Review (Preferred)
