Position Description:

Join Sanborn’s award-winning team! Sanborn is looking for a Geospatial Data Analyst with specific technical skills and expertise to provide dedicated support to Landscape Geospatial Data with a concentration in Enterprise Geospatial Corporate Databases, SQL server, python scripting, ArcGIS Server, and Latitude Geographics Geocortex. These technical skills and expertise would include documentation of analysis and software configuration to internal supported programs. The position is located in Lakewood, Colorado.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field.
•5 years of intensive and progressive experience requiring extensive use of GIS and related tools.
•Master’s degree is highly desired.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
•Proven experience requiring the following skills:
•Professional experience of greater than 2 years with automation development using Python, FME, or R
•Professional experience of greater than 4 years with ESRI’s ArcGIS Desktop software.
*Preference will be given to those candidates demonstrating at least 1 year experience using ArcGIS Desktop10.3 or higher.
•Professional experience of greater than 2 years working in a multi-user, enterprise Geodatabase environment using ESRI’s ArcSDE software.
*Preference will be given to those candidates that demonstrate using SQL Server in conjunction with Enterprise Geospatial database.
•Professional experience of greater than 2 years publishing geospatial data using ArcGIS Server.
•Professional experience of greater than 1 years using ESRI Portal for ArcGIS and/or ArcGIS Online for Organizations.
*Preference will be given to those candidates that can demonstrate working with Web app builder Apps and Gallery Apps in ESRI Portal for ArcGIS and/or ArcGIS Online for Organizations.
•Professional experience consolidating data from multiple sources to a single data set. This can include creating, managing, and maintaining geospatial databases (including Esri file and SDE geodatabases).
•Knowledge of web services and web applications.
*Preference will be given to candidates with general knowledge of publishing ArcGIS Server 10.3 services including map, feature, image, and geoprocessing services.
*Preference will be given to candidates with direct knowledge of configuring using Geocortex software to create web applications.
•Professional knowledge of technical problem solving skills related to Geospatial Software.
•Professional knowledge of concepts and principles of geospatial data management.
•Professional knowledge of concepts and principles of geospatial data modeling and analysis.
•Professional knowledge in applying geospatial technologies to address natural resource and/or land management business requirements.
•Ability to communicate technical information effectively to lay persons and geospatial technical experts alike.
•Professional experience writing FGDC and/or ISO metadata for vector and/or raster products.
•Experience in developing written technical documentation (such as metadata, workflow diagrams, white papers, etc.).
•Ability to work with projects of varying timelines from yearlong implementation schedules to products with hours for quick turnaround production.
*Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate designing and developing Latitude Geographics Geocortex sites, viewers, and workflows.
*Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate working with FDGC metadata standards in XML.
*Preference will be given to candidates that demonstrate experience of greater than 2 years creating and validating metadata to meet specified standards.

TASKS:
•Provide expertise in managing data in Enterprise Geospatial Corporate databases.
•Provide expertise in managing data within SQL Server using Querying, Stored Procedures, and User-defined Functions.
•Create and manage data automation scripts using Safe Software Feature Manipulation Engine (FME), R, or python scripts.
•Assist User with technical issues using their professional judgment to determine how best to solve the problem such as solving the problem directly or guiding user to another resource within BLM.
•Help enforce National naming convention of ArcGIS Server GIS Services, filename, and folder.
•Develop and maintain ArcGIS Server GIS Services (Map, Feature, Image, and Geoprocessing). Modify capabilities and operations of existing ArcGIS Server GIS services when necessary.
•Configure Web Map viewers such as Latitude Geographics Geocortex and ESRI ArcGIS Online Web App builder and other templates.
•Review, create and maintain metadata to specifications for datasets and services.
•Support geospatial staff in creation of geospatial databases and manage geodatabases in an enterprise environment including providing support to update and maintain natural resources data.

If selected to fill the position, a candidate would be required to pass a drug screen and satisfy the requirements of a National Criminal History Check (NCHC) to verify the identity of the individual applying for clearance and to determine the individual’s suitability for the position.
