Position Description:

Currently, RG is looking for a Geospatial Information System (GIS) Analyst to serve as the Geospatial SME for technical consultation, guidance and advisory capacities supporting the Air Force Civil Engineering Center at Gunter Annex, AL. This role will be critical in supporting our customer’s overarching mission to implement and maintain software applications that meet a range of Civil Engineering user needs across the Air Force.

A Day In the Life:
To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be involved with or responsible for effectively supporting the geospatial business processes and workflow procedures while conducting market research and best practice approaches. The candidate can expect to:
Assist with the data gathering and compilation, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), GPS, mapping, and data analysis.
Perform varied data gathering and entry to create, maintain, display and update Geographic Information Systems databases, coverages, and linkages to various GIS databases
Serve as the Geospatial SME for technical consultation, guidance, and advisory capacities
Analyze geospatial business processes and work flow procedures, gather information from consultation with the Geospatial PMOs
Assist in conducting market research, equipment demonstrations, and assists in gathering geospatial technical information requirements
Keep up-to-date on new technologies, methods and development in the geospatial realm to assist in developing entirely new or modifying existing system layouts, interrelationships and sequences

The ideal candidate will be in a position to analyze and evaluate complex policies, requirements and GIS implementation systems for the Civil Engineering Information Systems PMO. Required Experience
To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.
2+ years of relevant working experience in a security and testing-related field
Knowledge of a broad range of Geospatial Information Systems, remote sensing, cartography, and their applications to geospatial operations and analysis, as related to management and operational applications
Ability to analyze and evaluate complex alternatives concerning program priorities, policies, requirements, and systems associated with GIS implementation
Secret Clearance

BA/BS Degree in Geography or related area of specialty
Security + Certification
Knowledge of Air Force GeoBase systems/programs to include Common Installation Picture (CIP) and Mission Data Sets (MDS)
Previous experience in Department of Defense (DoD) Geospatial Systems
Prior experience using Esri and Autodesk software
Prior AF Civil Engineering knowledge

Physical Requirements & Disclaimer:
