Position Description:

GIS Technical Lead

Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with GIS applications and 3 years of consistent familiarity with ESRI software.

Degree/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field; DCWF qualification. Relevant ESRI Professional Certifications are highly desirable.

Clearance: Requires TS/SCI

Special Skill: The Technical Lead must demonstrate exceptional technical mastery and leadership across the ESRI ecosystem. This requires advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro, complemented by deep knowledge of GIS server administration, complex database management (SDE/SQL), and IT infrastructure. Programming expertise in Python, R, and JavaScript is essential for automation and custom application development. In addition to strong technical skills in spatial analysis and mobile GIS (Field Maps/Survey123), this role requires proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor technical teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and translate complex GIS concepts into actionable plans.
