The Developer/Analyst 1 position will work with Washoe County's GIS team in Technology Services. Role requires relocation to the Reno/Sparks area but can be a hybrid role with a mix of in-person and remote work.

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer information systems, geographic information systems, or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

License Or Certificate
A valid driver’s license may be required at the time of appointment and if required, must be maintained for continued employment in this classification.

The Ideal Candidate will
• Have ability to work independently, diagnose and solve technical problems, and make customers their top priority.
• Have an understanding of GIS and cartography fundamentals.
• Understand web-based GIS fundamentals.
• Be experienced with cloud-based GIS tools or platforms such as ArcGIS Online.
• Be experienced with desktop-based GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro.
• Have an understanding of or ability to write code in Python, Arcade, and SQL.
• Have a demonstrated record of flexibility and creative problem-solving.
• Be a self-starter who strives to improve skills and remain current in the application of Geographic Information Systems to local and regional government business processes.
• Have a reputation for their excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with customers and work team colleagues

$78,936.00 - $102,648.00 Annually
