We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a GIS Solutions Engineer to provide technical support to our DoD customers. This is an onsite position at either Scott Air Force Base or Marine Corps Base Quantico. The GIS Solutions Engineer will be required to possess a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. The candidate will work closely with the customer to define, develop, and implement GIS solutions leveraging Esri technology including both web and desktop products. The candidate will execute the responsibilities of a GIS Solutions Engineer, which include:

•Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade enterprise GIS systems and associated infrastructure
•Use Portal for ArcGIS to configure web maps, dashboard, experiences and other products for the visualization of geospatial data and analysis
•Understand customer business requirements and incorporate geospatial concepts and technology with existing business systems
•Propose technical solutions and architectures leveraging enterprise GIS best practices to streamline stakeholder access to geospatial information and products
•Design and deliver complex GIS technical presentations and demos to stakeholders and diverse functional communities

The following are requirements of the GIS Solutions Engineer:
•US Citizen.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
•5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; or 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree; or 4 years of experience with a PhD.
•Demonstrated proficiency with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online, and related Esri API’s.
•Excellent writing and oral communication skills, including preparing correspondence, written reports, and briefs.
•Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.
•Demonstrated experience in completing projects on teams comprised of participants with diverse engineering, scientific or technical backgrounds.
•Demonstrated experience in/knowledge of in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
